One of our small local 4x4 clubs contacted me and asked if we would hold a benefit ride on JULY 12th to help a family that is in great need! One lady lost her house to a fire and lost everything. She is 75yrs old. The other is dealing with a death of a 21yr old in the family. These took place to the same family. They are in great need of support!!
The MILITIA 4X4 CLUB is a club located here in Marion and helping them w/ the benefit is JEEPS IN THE 828 CLUB. These clubs will be cooking hot dogs and hamburgers Saturday to help raise some money and some other activities to help raise money. We will be offering free rides to the kids in some of our rigs and buggies to keep it interesting for them! I will be offering my buggy for anyone to drive up the parking lot obstacles for a $10 donation to the family. So please come out and show your support to these families and to the 2 clubs trying to help those in need!
FEES $10 PER RIG AND $10 PER PERSON
ANY DONATIONS ARE WELCOME

Looks like great weather tomorrow. We have had some rain yesterday so it should not be dusty.
It should be perfect! Wish I had something assembled to wheel. Y'all have fun and take lots of pics.

I am coming out. Not sure what time but I need a good spotter. I have no idea how the new 3-link will do offroad.
Got you covered Zo.
:driver:

I am currently grinding down a cruiser power steering pulley trying to make it fit on a Jeep Saginaw pump and wishing I was wheeling with everyone.

I need pics so I can vicariously experience fun!!!

Ask and ye shall receive!
Hung out with some dude named Bad Ass and a bunch of Jeep guys from Asheville :D(@JK_Byron, @EdJonesJeeper and @JK BONES). Met a random dude with questionable fab work on an Izuzu :flipoff2: and nearly endoed the Ranger on a near vertical rock face. Good times with good people!

Got my vapor lock issues resolved and found the RPM limits of my 306...

Made this ride today. Hung out with @PinkyXJ,@upnover,@jeconn,@Lorenzo816 and a few others.
Had a blast! Now, who is this "Bad Ass" that @Jody Treadway speaks of?
Never met him and heard he was a jerk.
;)

Nice meeting some new faces and seein some old ones.
First time out since last May and first time out with the 'larger' Isuzu.
Thanks to Paul @redneckcj5guy , Deanna @PinkyXJ and Jeff (?) showing me around. I haven't been to the Flats in 4 years. There are some new trails and the old ones look better too.

About the 'questionable fab work on the Isuzu' .... HaHa. Thanks Jody @Jody Treadway . :flipoff2:
Damn thing went everywhere! Thanks Chris @MarsFab all Except the last section of 3way got double hung up. I need to lose more tire pressure and try it again. After wheelin all day, I now know what to do next: Lower Tcase gears.

Here are a few pics. Of course, can't take a bunch since I'm driving but if anyone else has some pics of my rig, post up plz. Just so everyone else knows, the place was NOT packed at all. Not sure but It only looked like maybe 15-20 rigs at most.

Thank you to all who came out. I did not do much wheeling but probably rode 25 kids around in the buggy. That was enough for me! They loved it! Thanks again

Oh and don't forget about NOT being able to make it up the left side (easy) side of Easy Street.

@upnover Well Chip, you are right! I got my trails mixed up. Easy Street it was and it was a blast except that last damn section.
Really enjoyed that trail and Jimmy Olsen too.

Had a great time. Got a late start but had fun beating around in a stripped down cj5. Only second time there, will definitely be back. Tried to follow upnover up ol stumpy. Made it halfway to first right turn. Hate no more turned out for the cause but I enjoyed being able to play in my junk without holding people up. Tried hills and trails that I would not have with a crowded trail. Had to back out of some ( ol stumpy, Stihl hill ) but made it through some that I didn't think it would. Been out of wheeling for 12 years or so. Trying to get back in! Had a blast riding a three speed, wore out 304 and small axles. No pics. Took a short video of me but it is sideways on computer and haven't had time to fix it.
