Hey Guys!

I am taking charge and scheduling a trip to Beasley Knob, GA on July 13th. I will keep everyone updated depending on weather. There are some great videos on Youtube from Beasley Knob if anyone is interested in difficulty. It is a little bit of a drive there, again I will update when I know exactly how long and what time we will be leaving the Asheville area. Please spread the word and PM me if you have any questions!

We will most likely be taking the 93B trail, but I do not have a map in front of me at the moment.

Here's the map.

Google Maps is saying it's about a 2 hour drive,

We will be meeting up in the morning and I believe catching up with someone in Franklin. More information to come closer towards the date.

We could, haven't really thought about it, I've always done day trips. If there are camping areas we could.

Lol well not all of us can afford a hotel or a bed and breakfast. I can however drive to my dads house and borrow his tent. Cheap Cheap Cheap!

Hi, did a quick Google search and it looks like there are adequate camp sites and hotels in the area. It also looks like the trails are closed if it rains hard enough to create muddy condiitions. Thanks.

I'd like to go specially since I got alot of family in Blairsville. Just depends on work & funds & if I get the old FJ steering box replaced by then. It went out on my at the top of Laurel Lane at the flats when we did Down & Dirty for Life.

Well get a move on it then!

LOL I know I know! Where are my priorities right? I got the steering box ordered & it will be here week after next. I'm on vacation then too so as my wife would say "get your arse in the garage & get to work! We are both happier that way." LOL

I really got it made if I decided to stay. Lil man & I are right at home in the tent or I could just crash a family members house. Since Im in West Waynesville I would prob catch ya as you come through on the way since you have to drive right by my exit.

Been years since I did a night ride. I would love to but I can't with lil man though cause he has a medical condition that acts up if he doesn't get enough sleep or eats the wrong foods. It probably won't matter to us though cause it will most likely be a day trip for us.

Bump!

They sent me the wrong steering box. The right one is suppose to be here tomorrow so I hope to have it on Saturday. I'm planning on going hope to but the deciding factor will be whats going on at work. I got put in charge of some R&D stuff for July.

Hi, I called the Forest Service today and they stated that because of all the rain the ORV trails have been closed. They further stated that there must be two consecutive sunny days before they re-open the trails. Best bet would be to check the weather about the 10th. FS also said primitive camping is allowed along the trails. Thanks

Don't look like I'm gonna make it anyway now. I had some minor sugery yesterday they wouldn't let me put off & it also looks like they are gonna make me work.

Well it is not looking good for this trip. Weather is bad and I haven't seen any updates here. I am going to visit this place but guess I will make the trip later in the year. If there are any updates please post. Thanks.

I think with all the rain we won't be able to go. We'll reschedule for a less rainy time.

Probably the best thing, Forest Service says there has to be two rain free days to open the trails. I'll will be heading that way with some of the guys from my area later in the year. It will be nice to visit somewhere new. Thanks
