ECORS revisits Devil’s Playground in Silver Valley, NC for July 5-6!

Traditionally, DPG has been a favorite among the racers. This venue is also popular with the locals and spectators as it is close to home for many of the racers and the venue is very spectator friendly.
The course has traditionally been set up very similar in recent years and offers nearly a 2 mile course, with hills, creek crossings, fast straight sections, technical driving through the woods, and large rocks! The UTV route is not over any of the major rock crawling areas but stays on the more manageable hard packed roads through the facility.
Pre running and Tech Inspection starts at Noon on Friday and ends at dark. Pre-running stops during qualifying but resumes afterwards.
Qualifying will start on Friday from 4pm until 6pm.
Saturday will be race day!
Gate opens at 8am for general public
9am driver’s meeting at the Finish Line
Fan Meet N Greet from 9:15-10:15am (all cars line up on the straight away just after the start line). Teams are encouraged to bring team and sponsor handouts for fans. Teams are also encouraged to wear your team apparrel to support your team and sponsors!
10:15am Class B and Class C race staging
10:30am Class B and Class C race starts
1:30pm Class B and Class C race ends
2:00pm Class UTV and Class A/AA race starts
5:00pm Class UTV and Class A/AA race ends
6:00pm Awards at Finish Line
Up for grabs for all Spectators will be over $1,000 of Snap On tools to be given away after the race at the Awards Ceremony! These are door prizes and you must be present to win. Racers are not elligible to win.
Camping is available on site starting Thursday, July 4. There are no electrical, sewer, or water hookups, so all campers must be self sufficient.
Camping fees:
$5 per person/night. Only the driver camps free. Kids 8 and under are free.
Gates open to the general public on Friday, July 5 at 12:00 noon.
