My Husband has family that lives near Uwharrie and we are coming up from Jacksonville, Florida to visit them on July 4th weekend.
My husband has a 2005 Rubicon LJ with a 3-1/2" lift with 33"s and I have a 1989 TJ with a 4" lift on 35"s. For this trip, we are only planning on bringing his Jeep. We are members of two different Jeep clubs in Jacksonville, Fl, but we ride all over the place. This year we have already been to Durham Town, the Gulches, Jeep Beach, and a poker run. We also ride in Osceola and Ocala national forest quite often. We still are planning on going to Chocolocca Mountain in November, and the Sheriffs Jeep fest In Pickens Co GA in September. Basically, we really LOVE to ride.
We are interested in exploring some of the trails in the forest, but do not want to ride by ourselves. As it is a holiday weekend, we have not been able to rouse up interest from people here to go up to NC for this ride. But, as we have family, we would be content with only riding one day in the forest.
I thought I would contact you to see if anyone has a trip planned in the park for that weekend that we could join or if there would be a few people that would like to go out and show some newbies to the area.
