July 4th weekend trip to Mountain City...

might hafta make an effort to find my way up there. :driver: had a blast wheelin with some of yall last time and I'd like to test out the new parts on some accual trails. :huggy:
 
Gonna see if I can make it for Sat. Not sure if I can but I know that's the only day I have free that week end if the wife can turn me & my lil man loose for the day LOL!!
 
Looks like Granny won't be making this trip after all. I found some pretty healthy frame cracks (both sides) last Wednesday evening before heading to Harlan with CTB. Had I found them prior to being all loaded up for the trip I would not have gone. Anyway, the cracking grew considerably from that ride, and after getting back home, cleaning the mud off, and further inspection I have come to the conclusion that the frame is really not worth fixing. That said, I will be on the spectator's bench for a while. I already have a new plan in mind, but will hold back on the details until I actually get started.

Seems like I remember going through a "midlife-crisis" about a year or so ago... I really don't intend to do an instant replay on that one. :shaking:

Can't nail down this overheating issue on the ZJ. Looks like I'm going to be out too unless these Jeep gremlins get a kick in the arse.

We usually get the "look" by other off-roaders like "WTF are ya'll doing out here?? The mall's the other way!"

I think we'll turn a few heads.........

We'll be pulling in Friday night but we're not camping at the Empire or Callalantee. Planning on hitting the trails 8:30-9 Saturday morning.
