I was out at Carolina Auto Salvage today in Rock Hill SC. and found a '99 TJ Sahara. That still had a few good parts on it. There was also an old Willys, that was weirdly sitting with the VW's, that had alot of od and end parts. Body was crap but drive train was complete. Engine to axles.... I only got one pic of the TJ before my phone took a crap on me for some odd reason.(Im blaming the High Voltage lines overhead).

Looks to be some kind of odd aftermarket hardtop CJ style hatch but with removable t-top section.

Yeah it was a Best Top hard top I think. The front half was missing and I took the hatch for my project. The Roll bar was still good, but the front bars were bent.

That's only about 40 minutes up the road from me. I try to get up there 3-4 times a year. For those that have never been, its very similar to pull-a-part in price and admissions. Wheelbarrows are available as are lifts and hoists. Bring you own tools! Cars and trucks here flip very quickly!

Yeah I like it better than any PAP Ive ever been too. Cleaner yard and not as crammed together. Istopped in on my way home from a job just to walk the yard. Always a nice selection of jeeps, and toyotas. Just thought it was odd to see a wrangler b/c they usually never make it this far before someone buys up the whole thing

Noticed the yard next to it with all the classic stuff? I'd love to go rummage through there!

I work like 4 buildings up from there. I rarely go because the won't sell any of the cool old stuff for a reasonable price. If either of yall or anyone else goes by there give me a shout. I enoy junkyard hunting from time to time.

Since we're all sc folks, any of y'all ever been to Sunshine auto salvage in orangeburg? Its a drive even for me but they have a great stock. The number of 4x4 trucks and SUVs is almost overwhelming. Got a few more good ones too. Junkyard road trip?

Never been.... but I like cruising the yards. You never know what your gonna find. I wanna go back out there and take the grill off that Willys. The body was swiss cheez

Yes, and Yes. There are alot of XJ's and ZJ's. I think there may have even been an MJ or two. There was a red XJ that even has a factory tire carrier. It was pretty picked over though so I cant say it'll still be there. They were cleaning out some sections when I was there.

Hey Savage Ive never been to sunshie but Carolina is like my home yard lol. Scored many cool parts there before. I would always be up for a junkyarding trip. Is Sunshine open on weekends?

Yeah sure is. Saturday and Sundays even.
I'd post a link to their website but its pretty much useless. Address is 228 Southland rd, orangeburg SC 29115.

Yeah sounds good we should plan a hunt sometime.

They have some good parts out there every once and a while I try to go by there once a week you just have to watch the girls up front they will try to Over charge you

I think that's every junkyard.... The PAP over on N Tryon is the worst. Sometimes seems as if they just make up their prices.

When I got my wj steering swap parts witch was 2 knuckles and 2 calipers got ready to pay she was like $190 I said you can get the hole front axle for 120 she ended up getting her manager witch was a guy I went to high school with he only charged me $40 so talk to Andy if you want to buy parts there
