I went out around Uwharrie/Eldorado today to find some neat local historical spots to add to the Mountain Market's webpage when I complete it. Thought I'd share a few photo's here.
The first pic is a view from behind the store. It's part of the Reservation.
The second pic is a shot of the Daniel trailhead from our side of the Uwharrie River.

1. Here's a shot of the road going back down from the Quartz Rock quarry. It was actually a rather steep hill, though you can't really tell from the picture.

Cool shots! Hill looks steep to me Back in the day, '50, we lived in a little block house behind the Methodist parsonage. My Dad pastored the Eldorado charge there for 2 years.
