When other countries are hit with problems the US always jumps and starts donations. But I do not see many places linking for donations due to the tornado in NC and other states. The only thing i found was for the Red Cross in durham http://cncredcross.org/GiveHope/Donate/DonateNow.aspx Is there anything else I am missing?

Thats the only thing I've seen as well...it was on the news this am to donate to the red cross. Im in charlotte and there are reports of folks coming from here to give a hand...needless to say I went to redcross.com this am to give a little of the little I have haha I hope everyone is well out that direction.

I keep hearing it's be cause we're 'established' and 'settled'...same thing when the floods hit the Dakotas a few years back. My vote goes more towards skin color. Call me a racist, call me a bigot, that's fine.

I completely agree on not wanting to lean on the rest of the world for the torando, I was just talking in genral for us. I am more willing to throw a few dollars to help the US then I am to help the rest of the world. I was talking to someone today who said "that is just a drop in the bucket to what happend over seas, they needed it more."

thanks fart for the link, I will check it out. been wondering about that

I base it on the same premise as those that think the rich need to be taxed more.

the US has more so they should help others, but the others have less so they expect it from every one else.

Yes the US does a lot for other countries but there are a lot of countries that hate the US and want to see it burn. So it really doesn't surprise me that we don't get much help.....
