yes the front is plated with AR 500. So i was told. The guy worked at a place that had a lot or etc..Got a great deal and used it. I dont know much about the stuff other than i believe they make metal targets out of it??? so would that make my uni-frame..."semi-bullet proof"
I would like to raise the steering up a little but it will have to do for now. If i flip it the way it is it hits the diff cover bad. Im planning on raising it up when i can find some new knuckles and also would like to go to a double ended ram.
Well i got tired of having to haul this one everywhere so i decided to try and find a expo style xj that i could keep simple and drive over to URE and local camping places. This one sorta fell in my lap so now i can tinker on this one and slowly rework the big one and get it a little more stable and work the kinks out...
details when i got it
97 4.0/aw4 D30,8.25. 4.5 rough country. weld on beadlocks and 35" pro-comp exterains
Sold the 35's and beadlocks. It was just a little much for the stock gears. Went with a Dean mt sxt in 33x9.50x15 (cant say enough about this tire..great tread depth, looks good, low road noise and is a great price!) Found some stock wheels and that is how it sits.
Plans are for
-3.5 full spring and coil kit from RE.
-4.56 gears and lockrights f/r. At that time i will also swap to a D44 rear.
-JCR rear bumper, sliders and there new lower corner guards.
-re-doing the headliner and maybe the carpet. light window tint.
-M8000 warn along with all recovery gear
I got it from a guy in TN. He said he built it and used it a few times on trail rides and a few times for Recovery at some of the WeRock events..Then he got tired of it and i picked it up.
