So I'm just getting started at this, I did my first fender trim. How does it look(for a jeep)? Since this pic was taken I have taken care of the pinch welded area inside the fender. I'm still considering reinstalling the stock flares after tweaking them some.

I've been reading up on this as much as possible, overall, medium trail rig. I've got 32X11.50X15 Dunlop Mudrovers on 15X10 Cragars(think the b/s is 3.5-4 inches) still sitting in the shed.
Plan to put 3" lift in the future, pretty certain it's gonna need at least that much with that wheel/tire combo to do any serious wheelin. It has the standard D30/D35 combo, may polish those a little, but...prolly not much.
I've got some 12 vdc fans from some equipment at work that was decommissioned, thinking to fab up my own mounting and remove the stock fan. Also either hood spacers or some type of vent. All the normal stuff, maybe even some skids and sliders too.
I've done the door hinge mod, so when some extra doors cross my path and wallet willing, maybe some half doors. I've kind of got the bug to go and chop the top, but again, wallet willing.
First thing tho before any real wheeling will be to have a cage built. I've gotten a small HF welder, but thats only for small stuff. The serious stuff like a cage I'll have to get someone to build for me, don't want to crack the ol' noggin before I'm finished with it.
All of this though is when time and money allows, I'm not in too much of a hurry. Just got two youngin's graduated from hs and working on the third.

Almost forgot, yanked out all the nasty wet carpet and plan to weld all of the small holes shut and install some type of drain at the lowest point. And herculiner.

reinstalling the flares always looks GAY......
buy the 3.5 RE lift i have forsale, put in a 29spline and throw on the 32's and come out and play :)

everything I've been reading (pbb, naxja, here, etc) most have said not to cut above the pinch weld. I couldn't see anything other than the spot welds (tomayto, tomawto?), so I cut vertically and then bent all the tabs in. Still have some more to get to, have to get the wheels off so I can swing the bfh better and more accurately.
Took the gas tank out, then used the angle grinder, then the sawzall to clean up the top of the cuts
figure this way I can get a little more clearance and still not cut above the pinch welds.

put on the new-to-me shoes today!
