I've been working a shitton of overtime at work, so I took all my extra scratch and paid off my truck.

I now own all my vehicles!

Gotta knock out these credit cards now, not much on them, but there is some.

Then come the student loans, all $12k of them. :shaking:

It is nice, gotta get these credit card down, I have $2k on them. Mostly college tuiton, but I can knock them out by the end of the year probably, move the money I was paying on the truck to the CCs and kill them too.

Little Dave Ramsey debt snowball there. :)

Did mine last year, nice feeling.

I got about 2 more years on my Subaru.

Yeah it sucks but lately I've been doubling up my payments. If I can keep it up, I'll be in good shape.

Never again will I buy a vehicle that requires a loan! Glad I figured that out early!

I'll hopefully have my jeep paid off before the 2 yr mark and its on a 4 or 5 yr plan I think. Pretty stoked about that..1.5 yrs and 8K paid. w00t! Then I have the bike then I have CC bills. shit. hahaha

Best car advice you can get: now that the truck is paid off, keep making your payment, into a savings account. Then in 4 or 5 years, go to the car lot, and write a check. It's a good feeling.

i bought my truck in may and still have about 3.5yrs left to pay on it. i plan on getting it done in the next 2yrs tho. once i get out of school i should be good to go on making extra payments.

That is what I have been doing for some years now. I get paid once a month on the last day of the month. On the first day of every month, a set amount is automatically drafted from my checking account into a 'car fund' savings account.

I have two more payments on my cummins :)

my mother in law from Illinois gave us dave ramsey CD's a year ago. The best thing ever! Totally changed our lives!! $360 left on my truck, going to make those truck payments on wife’s car next. The best part of it all is not using credit cards in a year! Anyone who has an opportunity to go to a dave ramsey seminar. Definitely go!!

congrats on payin it off!!! i got my 98 cummins in june of 09 and paid it off in december 09............. when i sold it:)

shoot i still owe $300 on a personal loan on my beat 95 toyota. i kno, its sad. buts whats a broke down white boy suppose to do.

We have no car payments and we own 4 vehicles (2 commuters & the tow rig/jeep), but dang do I have some school loans! UGH!! Basically wife has the house mortgage and I have the school. Right now with me in grad school we are living off her income, so the plan is to continue that after I get a job and just throw everything I make at the school monster! Should work good but I'm sure as soon as a baby comes into the mix it will all change.

yeah Dave Ramsey is the shiznit!

I swear my wife's school loan never drops below $11k no matter how much I pay on it.

It is only $120 per month, but I really want to knock it out. Would be nice to be able to put ALL of our extra payments on the house. With the credit cards, trucks, student loans we'd have a little over $800 we could put on the house every month.
