Only had a few folks interested in going Saturday. Hopefully more will come on Sunday the 12th to the Pit in Mooresville.

Be there at or before 2;30

Its a helluva good time :driver:
Hope alot of folks will come on out! AND wear some type of 4x4 gear...NC4X4 clothing,ECORS, club shirts...just something that'll let everyone else know we're badass.:huggy:

It cost NOTHING to come hang out and watch.

Im in...are we group reserving or just arrive and drive?

I would suggest victory lane in charlotte. the pit is very strict about physically racing each other. they want you to race the clock. They stagger the start and if you try and wait for someone to race against they get a little pissy.

I havent noticed them getting pissy, but who cares..they're 15:lol: seriously though. I wouldnt say they're too strict, but yes, they'll blow the whistle at ya if you are driving REAL rough.

Ron..too hard to get enough solid commitments for a reserved track time..so yes, arrive and drive.
However, we can all purchase tickets at the same time ,so for the most part, it'll just be us. Glad you're coming:beer:

Im pretty sure im going to come and bring my son. I think I have a few others coming too.

COOL! Im not sure how old your son is, but keep in mind that they do have a min. age limit for even the youth carts. There is a big arcade, lazer tag and other fun stuff.

what time
Please try to be there by at least 2:30

Everyone who has never been will have to fill out an e-waiver and info sheet...get the photo license and watch a short safety vid.

They have Helmets and provide head socks or you can bring your own helmet, but it must be full faced with shield.

Also...the Karts run on Gas and the building is vented very good...so if its cold outside, expect it to be a little chilly inside. PLUS if you go fast, it will be even colder:driver:

do you have to buy a membership? is the cost of this if your new 75$ ?

You do not have to buy a membership(15.00) However the single races will cost more. The 75.00 deal is the best deal if you ever plan to go back. This 75.00 pays for membership and 5 races which IS the best deal available, since the races are 20 or 25 each.

If you do spend 75 dollars...you will be plenty tired of racing when you're done. Trust me...5 races is a helluva workout.

Come on out anyways...even if you only wanna race one time!

the minimum age was 8, but that is for the smaller karts..I'm not sure what the minumum age is for the full blown karts.

on MX helmets allowed

first you buy your meembership +5 races, then you get your group together and pick up some the race tickets. When you get the tickets, it will be for a specific race(s), the cashier will set you and your group up in the same race, I guess make sure to specify who you want to race with if there are a lot of different groups of people there.

I raced at Victory Lanes on thursday and I didn't notice any difference in the rules or the like. We were flagged and stuff but you just keep driving till the flag comes out:flipoff2:
I can speak for about 6-7 drivers that will be there to race the wheels off the karts:beer:

So hold the throttle wide open all the way around isn't feasable in these carts?:driver: Looks like from the web sight some driver input might actually need to be used. Are they fast enough that you actually need the brake pedal to set a fast lap?

you can hold it wide open for maybe half the track, but you really have to hang on. There's a couple spots where you have to lift. I tried with and without tapping the brakes...still wasnt turning fast laps

Sweet! So you have some experience at the pit, Josh?
It was about 2yrs ago on Rubiwhats' bachelor party nite....needless to say, I don't remember much about it:D

These tracks are set up more like a road coarse. You can hold it wide open in some areas, others you'll spin yourself out. The karts don't have alot of bottom end so the less you use the brakes the better off you are. It will likely take everyone a race to get a feel for the track & kart. 40-45mph is plenty fast in traffic with your ass a couple inches off the ground:lol:

A little tip

dont ever hit the brake pedal( unless you are about to kill the wall or yourself)...it'll kill the engine for a split second, costing you some time.

you can make it all the way around with it to the floor, but you will be sliding out and correcting way to much to be fast...but it feels awsome! Driver input is a must, both to make a fast lap and to not get hurt..lol

so, are you going? If you are still in Davie County, we can carpool.

Dude unless Jaime decides otherwise my hindend is a permanent transplant. I really like DC and its residents. My son has made a great transistion.

As for the racing I'd have to convince Jaime it was her Birthday party. After seeing the web sight I'm stoked, her not so convinced on the Birthday.
