When I got my winch from Warn last month one of the sleeves in the contactor box was fubared and the controller wouldn't plug in to it. It was crushed and wouldn't allow the pin to slide in.

I called Warn, and they sent me a whole new contactor box. I asked about returning the old one and was told to keep it.

I took it to work and replaced the damaged sleeve with a similar, properly sized Amphenol sleeve and epoxied it in place. It works like a dream.

I've about made up my mind to keep it just in case my other one gets damaged or craps out.

But... Do I keep it or sell it? What's it worth?

They retail for about $275.

And they last more or less forever. Not nearly as problematic as solenoids.

I would have given you $100 for it, easy... but mine just showed up yesterday.

I guess this turned into a "for sale" thread.

So, uh...sale pending? :driver:
