Well this is discouraging. I know there are plenty of beer drinkers in the area...
I am just looking to save a few bucks.

What kind of beer are you trying to buy? Most any grocery store will order you a keg, ingles here stocks them. Cheap beers like coors and budweiser are always pretty well priced for half barrels. Two kegs is a lot of beer... My advice is if you're looking to save money don't have a keg party. 
Or charge for cups.

I suppose I should explain that this isn't my first rodeo... I party way too damn much.
Beer will be some cheap domestic crap... (leaning toward busch light since its dirt cheap $84 a keg)
Room mate and I will be splitting the cost, and the proceeds.
As always I keep a stock of various wheat beers in my fridge so who cares.
I just figured with all the beer knowledge here, someone may have a connection and be able to save me a few bucks.
Not really worried about paying $99 a keg, just figured if I could cut it down to $80 a keg, that would be cool.
2 kegs is only like 320 beers, 250 solo cups worth. Even with a small party and like 50 people, thats still only 7-8 beers a piece.
Worst case we depressurize the keg and drink it the next day.
This party had about 250 people, it was actually at @71chevytruckguy house, but he no longer allows me to throw parties there... I still don't understand why.
