My friends dad filled his 06 Duramax with kerosene instead of desiel. What's going to happen? Should we try to drain it? He drove it home about 10 miles.

I thought they were close to the same stuff, except one is taxed more. Dunno though, my 98 all mechanical Cummins probably isn't as finicky as anything much later.

It's junk. I'll give you a dollar to haul it off.

I would drain the tank and refill with diesel. A little k1 shouldn't hurt it. Just burns hotter. We ran JP8 in all diesels overseas.

Yea my 7.3 is like that. I normally run used fry oil in it.

I've heard of people running kerosene with 2-stroke oil to improve lubricity, because kerosene is also a type of diesel oil. Might want to do a little research on that, and see if you can just add something to it and use up what's in the tank.

Back in the 70s when I worked after school at a service station, a Trucker pulled up. His diesel tank was empty & he was sucking the fumes. We didn't sell diesel. He bought 10 gallons of kerosene [before K1] & 2-3 qt of ATF. He said that will get me to the Truck Stop. Also before Computers; mechanical pumps!
