The folds have been opened up at the top to hold more than the unexpanded cup in the back....... and I was in the doing it wrong group too until now. Thanks for the tip 13bullets , now I can stop just dragging my fries through a big pool of Ketchup squirted onto the paper tray cover and use the cups again!!

This. I either use a large cup lid and put ketchup on that, or I unfold my burger wrapper, and go ahead and pump it right onto the wrapper. I haven't used cups in years except maybe for arbys sauce.
