So compared to a lot of these builds on this site, my xj aint got nothing. There's a lot of talent amongst these threads. But might as well start mine since I have a lot of plans for it.
This will be a pretty brief thread up to the point I'm at now. For the full thread, check out my cherokeefourm build, but it's not that exciting...

So here's what I started with
Just a stock 98 XJ that needed an exhaust manifold. So I fixed the manifold, put on a flowmaster, 3" Rough Country Lift, cut the fenders and stuffed some 33's
Threw on an ironrock offroad tie rod, Rough Country extended trackbar, some daystar extended bumpstops, DIY beadlock rear bumpstop plates, some better 33" Mudrovers and took it to uwharrie for the first time
Then I made it doorless. Back doors will come off too once it gets a little warmer
next I had the joy of cracking a piston. This was a big job to do by myself, and in my apartment parking lot with what experience I had but I got it done!
So this is where it gets kinda weird.
Decided to change up the front. Comp cut, Round headlights and small turn signals

After this I stared playing with my lift height so I got some 4.5" RC full leaf packs and 4.5" rubicon express coils.
Now to pretty much sum up whats happened since then.
I regeared my axles to 4.88 nitro gears and threw on some 36" tsls, then 35" Bighorns and now 35" KM2's
Put on a winch bumper and got a 12,000lb winch
Threw some custom longarms together, made from IRO longarms with the driver upper cut off and a passenger adjustable short arm welded on instead
IRO HnT SYE
Just got some IRO crossover steering from BigGoofy that needs to be put on
Finally got some longer brakelines
And I cut and folded the rear
I got some 1.5" coilspacers to put on and longer shackles so ill be sittin at about 6" lift which I think will be perfect for my cut and tires
And if any of you know of Froelich Suspension System, you may or may not know of his low profile shackle relocation brackets he just came out with. I was actually one of his testers for his first ones. You cut the old box out and put these in which allow you to have a good shackle angle without messing up your lift height. Theyre pretty snazy.
So enough talking, this is what it looks like now
And here's the shackle relocation brackets
But that's were I stand at the moment...
