KJ KRWLR... bring on he hate :)

In all seriousness, if you can find a replacement engine for cheap, grab it and store it. I went looking for one to fix my nieghbor's and they were getting STUPID prices for them. Turns out the little V6 is a turd and they cant keep replacement engines on the shelf.

Guy here at work asked me about this the other day. He's got a KJ that just lost the motor.... dropped a valve seat, apparently. Needs head work at a minimum, but they can't get the parts, and can't tell him when they'll actually be available. Pretty sure it's going to get traded in/sold for scrap/etc.

Ive thought of buying a diesel one as a DD. It looks like a good starter def needs a 44 not a 30 front. Ive broke a 30 front in a walmart parking lot! no joke

Update on the Exo project.

You cant properly fit an inner cage until you have the right seats... so I sprung for the Corbeau XP's

Drivers side is mounted with the Corbeau seat brackets, baja adapter, and double locking tracks. The passenger side is mounted by custom mounts built at Carolina Truggies. The passenger seat sits 2" lower and 1" further back than the drivers seats to give me just a little bit more visibility when I quickly glance out the passenger window.

With the seats mounted we started the inner workings of the cage

A simple "H" for the time being... plenty more will be added over time.

The bars tie directly in with the roof rack and will have more tied into it as the build progresses.

The Exo project is on hold for the moment. In order to start saving some money on gas and free up money for my Exo build, I bought a motorcycle. Its an 83' KZ550 bobber and once I've got all the spare parts it was missing accounted for I'll be able to ride it to work and back saving roughly $200 a month :)

I dig the exo thru the roof cage. keep thinking outside the box until it gets stupid. As far as the bike goes... It looks like it is missing just the right amount of parts to me! I have a turboed 750 zuki motor I want to stick in a frame about like that. (Crappy cell pic). I have gotten too chicken to ride them like I used to. Bouncing off hoods and trunks takes it's toll in your upper 40's.
