I am thinking about replacing my Nitto Mud Grapplers with KM2's this go around. I considered PC Xtreme M/T's but the things are nearly impossible to get right now.

I like the Nitto's, they are great but getting worn and noisey. I would go with the Nitto Trail grapplers if I had 17" rims. But I'm in 16's.

Anyone got problems or issues with the KM2's?

I have the KM2s on my DD Chevy 1500 and LOVE them. Great wear and after a little break in they are pretty quite. They are pricey and hard to find but they are worth it in my book.

What size?
I have been a fan of the TRXUS MT for a while now. On my third set. Great in the mud and rocks. Wet traction on road is better than any MT available and the road noise is not much more than a typical AT.

Size

I have been toying with moving to 315/75/16's or 35 X 12.5 but I'm little spooked doing that with my current axle setup. That's another thread.

answer is 285/75/16's.

if you get the km2s just keep em out of the soft stuff, mtrs w kevlar are wicked, im on my 2nd set (2 different vehicles) and still suprised at how well they work. just my 2 cents.

I considered the KM2's for my wife's H3. Ended up going with 315/75r16 Kumho MT's and saved a couple hundred dollars.

The Kumhos have been awesome! They performed well at Devils Playground (mud and rocks), did very well at Uwharrie (dust and rocks) and rode as smooth as a cadillac driving 4200 miles to Moab and back.

Not sure if they are your flavor, but I am now a fan.

X2 on the MTR's with Kevlar. Smooth and quiet on the road, great in the rocks. I haven't made it into the mud yet, but 12psi up Dickey Bell last weekend and not a scratch on them anywhere..

x2 I'm on my second set of Trxus MT's. They smoke every other MT I've used offroad, and are pretty easy to deal with on the highway.

trail grapplers are made in a 285/70/16 i have some in stock at the shop

CJ, they are awesome.
I tried the TRXUS STS first but they had to be run at 20 pounds to reduce crowning. After 20k miles wet traction went to hell. 20MPH on a highway ramp was fast enough for the rear end to slip in rain.
But the MTs are really well behaved on road and get me through everything URE can throw at me.
I'm hoping to fit the 35x12.5 after I finish my fender cut and bob.
Then start saving up to buy an '06 Rubi unlimited.

Probubly the best on/off road tire I've used. Drove great done the road, and flexed great off road. I had them in 35's, if they were only made in in 37 for 15 inch rims.

Suki, The TRXUS MT is available in a 37x12.5x15.
Supplies on Swampers are sketchy at the moment while Interco gets manufacturing set up at a new supplier. There previous supplier went out of business.
I can check with my supplier. He is the largest Swamper dealer in New England and may have 37's in stock. PM me if you want me to check it out.
