SO guys I have read and read and really I'm just needing someone to verify my findings..So what is the secret to the shims under the steering arm and the bottom knuckle. What are you looking for or how do you tell you have the right amount of shims. This is on a 79-85 front axle...If you have a yota you know what I'm talking about...I just installed the All Pro studs and new knuckle bearing and I want to make sure I don't mess up the bearing for the 2nd time.

6 lbs. on a fish scale. I just did one last week. I usually start with one thick and one thin. I have a fish scale you can borrow if you want.

Thanks guys...I went with the 15lbs pound mark Landon gave me...I think some of the play in the steering came from loose knuckles so I went on the tight side to stop some of the play....It seems a little stiff but this is with pack bearing greese and I'm sure it will loosen up some. Plus I did it without out the back wipers on as well to get a true reading...Thanks Landon. Dinner on me some time.
