KOH 2025

UTVs have come a long way since their inception in 2006 and have been underrated for a long time. Polaris just released a Pro R factory race edition for $140k which is a decent way to jump in for race teams not wanting to build a machine. You could build a competitive machine for $80-120k if you have the know how.

It will be interesting to see how this changes the race but I don't think you're not going to see UTVs take over 4400. While CT Race Worx builds awesome machines, it's more the driver than the machine that had Kyle Cheney winning. UTVs can't take the beating the average 4400 can without breaking.

I think this is key. Kyle ran a perfect race, in a fast machine. All of the top competitors are close enough, that you have to run that perfect race to win. The Millers CanAm basically broke in half during the race, and we know they have what it takes to win.

I dont think that this will make all the big teams run to building a UTV for next year. We may see a few more though. Other than body panels, there is nothing stock/factory about that machine, just like Loren's bronco isnt stock. It was a smaller FIS race buggy with CanAm support.

I do believe that some will take a step back to see where Kyle made up time compared to everyone, and possibly build a smaller/narrower car.

I also believe that Dave will change up the coarse for next year, to make it harder for a UTV to repeat.
