Some friends and I are heading to lake houser near cliffside this weekend. They've made a lot of improvements over the past couple of months, and if you live close by and have never been I highly recommend it. Not worth a long drive if you ask me, but with uwharrie about to be shut down for the winter, and the fate of mountain city up in the air, places to play are getting hard to come by.

What kind of improvements? Has the place become more full-size rig friendly?

Yes, they've actually widened one trail, and created a rock obstacle on it where it adjoins another trail. There's really only one trail I can think of where a narrow rig will fit but a fillsize won't. They've still got work that needs to be done, still a lot of atv trails that I can't traverse. They'd be alot better off and get a lot more attention if they had some sort of map and widened two or three more atv trails. I would really like to talk to Wayne about helping out, but I haven't seen him down there in some time.

Actually looks like we'll be riding Sunday only now. I had originally planned for saturday, but we'll be going out on Sunday now.
