A couple of us took off yesterday to go ride and check it out, with the apparent demise of Callalantee in Mountain City, and now possibly The Farm (don't know yet but it don't sound good) we wanted to see what else is out there. We had a good time, for those that don't know or have never heard of it. It's about 600 acres of power line trails and is on the banks of a river for fishing/swimming ect. I would call it easy to moderate riding, but if it rains i bet this place gets real slick and more difficult. It was built for atv's but trucks/rigs come out to play also. The smaller trails between the power lines and the river get pretty tight (designed for atv's) and a full bodied rig may get beat up pretty good. If someone were to go in anwiden those trails there could be alot more riding. There was also some pretty deep mud hole, i burried my 42's in one and needed a cable ride to get out. My over-all assesment of the place is, it's a good ride for mild to moderate built rigs, atv's, and side-by-sides, it's not extreme and infact not alot or rock so if thats what your into you may be disappointed . BUT we need to go out and support the areas that are open and give us places to go ride.

I don't really know whats going on at the farm, theres alot of rumors floating around. But all i've heard is that all events have been suspended for now. Yes it was very muddy, all of the rain we got Fri nite made it pretty sloppy, the power line trails were mostly dry by lunch time.

The old man that ran the place passed away. Family that inherited it closed it down. Future status is yet to be determined. I've heard rumors both that it's closed forever and that it's possible for it to be reopened. Search General Chit Chat, there are a couple threads about it.
 
Post up next time you go. There are quite a few of us in the area. I know the place really well. Looks like a few places yall could have gone that you didnt know about. Dawgtoy and JackedHB know it well too.
 
when i get my truck back together ill ride with ya. been riding down there for 8 years now. if you bring a chain saw ive got permission to widen trails from the owner.

The narrow atv trails branch off into so much more! And on most of the trails, the zj will fit tight, but fine. That's one of the disadvantages to the place, no labeled trials, no maps. But if you learn them, you'll find yourself speding more time on the trails than on the powerline itself.

And slick? To put it short, I will not go if the ground is wet.
 
This is a couple years old. I know there are a couple trails that are used now that arent on the map. I need to get down there and update my map. This is only trails I have squeezed my yota down with minimal body damage.
