I'm looking for a competent shop that will work on a Disco in the Lexington, NC/ High Rock Lake area. Anybody have any recommendations?
Thanks,
RQ

Oh yeah, dash lights are coming on concerning the transmission sensors.

Set it on fire and walk away......

I was giving you shit man. There is a place here in Granite that works on them pretty often. They are specialize in vm audi bmw....It's kinda far but might be worth a shot

i think the only place in NC that "specializes" in LRs is in raleigh. there was a club C.R.O.C. i used to be a member of, kinda clickish and no one got along, so the club may not be around.

between croc and www.discoweb.org you ought to be able to find someone to work on it.

but like 1stgen said, setting it on fire and walking away may be your cheaper option. i hit 135k on mine and ive heard horror stories from this point and beyond. lol, it probably wont last til i get it payed off, i may have to consider the fire option.

Two of my old roomates had them....one put head gaskets......then heads.....then he bent the valves. The other roomate's has 160k and every seal in the motor pours oil and it sounds like it's going to fly all to hell. It had the trans replaced before he got it.

I use to work for land rover and went to Land rover university .
I work at a meineke in garner now if the truck was at the shop I could possibly diagnose the prolbem

sounds like he's in my boat. he;s got the three amigos goin on and is gonna need the tool to do a reset even if he gets what ever caused the error fixed anway.

do you have a rave cd and scanner tool?

Braddy's British Motor Works
Discovery Automotive
Flying Circus
Rover Automotive
Euro Motors

All in the Raleigh Durham area and all specialize in Land Rover repairs. There are several other shops in NC that do the same.

I specialize in Land Rover salvage if you need parts.
