I have a problem area at the back corner of my house. It's the lowest spot around the house and it's the corner where the sump pump from the crawl space pumps out to.
I had an issue where when the previous owner had the fence installed, they busted the drain pipe in the ground coming from the front of the house and joins into the back corner in a French drain system.
That cause a soft wet spot. Typically I like those, but not this time.
Whenever Theres a heavy rain the sump pump and the down spout flood this area and it stays a muddy mess.
Should I go back and dig up the French drain and replace it? Or what are my options?
Two Picts here. One without markings. The other shows where the French drain runs thats still in the ground.
I also have two trees that keep this area shaded and it's on the north side of the house so not much sunshine.
