A couple of months ago, I was sitting at home with not much to do. I started thinking about the 4x4cross race and last years $30xj give away. I started thinking of new ideas and thats when I came up with the crazy idea of forum members sponsoring a 4x4cross rig. I sat on the idea for a few days, and finaly asked Rob about it. He thought about it for a few days and then told me to give it a shot. And so, I typed up a long , crazy idea of a plan, and guess what...The awsome members of this forum dove right in and supported this crazy idea. Members sent in sponsor money and with the members money, we bought a 77 Bronco from a board member. Since then ,plenty of board members have donated time, parts, food, shop space, hauling trips, and loads of moral support which leads us up till now. The Bronco has gone through a huge transformation and lots of hard work has gone into it. It is still not quite finished, but should be soon. Only a handful of people will ever fully understand the progress the Bronco has made. You really should have seen it in person when it arrived.
Ok...
There is few hundred dollars left in the kitty. The Bronco has been paid for, and now it's time for the next crazy idea.
I want to purchase a trailer that will go along with the Bronco.
I figure to be able to find one for less than a thousand bucks. Hopefully alot less, but we will see.
If we fall short of the goal...The money will go to the Bronco's new owner!!(Remember...someone will win the Bronco during URE 4X4CROSS awards ceremony May 22-24th)
Ok...this is the last chance for anyone who has not sponsored the rig, or if anyone wants to gain extra chances to win the rig, to do so in the next 10 days. The absolute cutoff date is May 15th.
25 dollars to sponsor = 1 chance to win the Bronco...buy as many chances as you'd like.

Even if not one more dollar comes in...I want to thank you all for participating in, and believing in this crazy idea. We are making it happen! THANK YOU ALL. Dylan Wiles:beer:

yes, it's in Raleigh. Chase has it now, and is planning to get it running again.
There is still the issue of fabbing up some bases to mount the seats to, and getting the seats mounted. Plus a few other things. I will post the list in the build thread as soon as Chase is finished, and I know more about what all he has done/is doing.
Yager has the list also, and may be planning to do some of the work also...just gotta get it all coordinated...maybe get a few other Raleigh area folks pitching in on some of the other items on the list. Still need to get it to SHINTON for paint, and add stickers after that....Oh yeah, I would like to have at least a day or two to get some seat time..lol:driver:

***Club challenge**

I challengr your 4x4 club, to buy a sponsor slot and get a chance for the club to win this rig. If your club wins the rig, they can use it as a fund raiser.

Fantastic idea on the trailer, the winner gets outfitted in every way to hit the trails.

you da' man

dont miss out

If you are reading this, you COULD WIN. All you have to do is sponsor your 25 dollars. That gains you a chance to win a 1977 Bronco, that has been bought and built by other sponsoring members. It also gets your name on the race rig...as a sponsor. See above post for pay-pal address.

Ok folks...we will accept sponsorship money up until may 15th.

BUT, I need to get the sponsors list in ASAP, so I can have stickers made for all the sponsor's names.

So any late entries/sponsors can still gain a chance to win, but unfortunately thay will not have their name on the race rig.

Thanks, and hurry to get your chance to win a 1977 Custom Bronco! Details on the first post in this thread^^^
