bought a new place last year, trying to get the weeds under control. Did weed and feed last spring, had some tree work done to let light in, and aerated/seeded last fall. Did weed and feed again last month and got things looking pretty good, but still have some weeds I want to get rid of. Do I weed and feed again? Skip the feed and put out some preen just for weeds? I have no clue what i’m doing here, I’ve always cut close and tried to kill it in the past.

I’ve used Preen on a few customers yards with good results. Twice a year, spring and fall. Follow the instructions on the bag. Spread over damp grass (morning dew works great). Keep it away from shrubbery and ornamental flowers.

Plow, grade, level, weed and grass KILLER! ... concrete, green paint.

I'm going to put out those little stakes that have plant names on them, like clover, wild grass cover, natural something, organic stuff, gluten-free that, etc. and just forget it's there. The rabbits will love me. And, from 50ft or so it will look green. F the neighbors and their golf like putting greens. Although one did kill all his off with RoundUp and mulch over it about 10" deep. Nicest yard around as far as I can see. That will be plan B. Cuz I'm lying about the stakes, and plan B requires actual work...

Read the above Lawn and landscape link, so much good info there. Per that thread I began using Crossbow (or use something else with Triclopyr ) last year this time along with my usual lawn maintenance program and have the most weed free lawn I have ever had. The Triclopyr has also decreased the Bermuda grass and Liriope infestations in my lawn.

If I could remember what I bought, Id tell you. It was some sort of weed spray that you hook up to your water hose and spray your yard. Safe on grass. No joke, in a week, my yard is about 97% weed free. That was done about 2.5 weeks ago.

If yo uremember, please do tell.
I've done this several times, with mixed results, but I suspect it's the variety of spray I used. Also, it's hard to get the titration right to where you're spraying enough to get the job done but not wasting it.

I've had very good luck with the one I posted above for many years. I just soak the lawn with it. There is nothing to adjust.

Only $5, but it worked wonders for me. Used 1 bottle for the front yard and 1 bottle for the back. been around 3 weeks since applied and no weeds.
Now, I just need to patch the areas that are now bare that were over taken with weeds.

That shit works. I used it on my lawn and it killed all the weeds and crab grass now trying to get the spots filled in with grass.
