That stuff you pretty much don't have to worry about in NC. I have a back halfed truggy with no fenders, mud flaps, etc. No issues running it on the road.The things I'm more worried about are like wheel wells, tires exceeding the length of the body/frame. That kind of thing

The biggest worries will be lights including the turn signal and high beam indicators, horn, mirrors, wipers if you have a windshield. Exhaust can't have leaks. All emissions that were on the vehicle stock must VISUALLY be there: cat conv, egr, charcoal canister, air cleaner with preheater duct if equipped. Gas cap must be installed with the unleaded gas resrictor (the smaller hole under the cap with the metal flapper the gas nozzle goes into) which can be an issue if using a fuel cell.
