Well, during the trip to Mtn City.... I drove down the bank to the lower field (too lazy to backtrack halfway to town) and seems my midship fuel tank skid contacted the tank. Pulled the tank and it's seaping from under the rear strap.
I can get a used set from a *gas* rig, but read that most gas tanks are "galvanized", while *diesel* tanks are "terne" or ni-terne" *coated* cause the diesel & zinc (galvanization) will cause slime/algae/wax...
Anyone have any idea if Ford would have had manufactured both or just one set that would work for both gas & diesel? Or did the gas = galv & diesel = terne hold true 40 years ago and everyone has used terne since then?
