Leaking diff fluid

Alright so my front driver's side is leaking hypoid fluid. Took the hub apart, locknuts/washers on spindle, dust cover, spindle off.. down to the knuckle. I have yet to see a seal that is bad. However, that really isn't an issue because it is the axle tube side (towards housing from u-joint) that is leaking, not the spindle side. I would have assumed that there would've been a seal somewhere in there, but there is none to be found. This happened after I changed the diff fluid, and at first I thought maybe I had put too much in there and it was just trying to get rid of some (since new diff fluid is much more viscous than milky diff fluid), but my level was fine. Any help?

inner axle seal inside differential, most likely.

Is it accessible by taking off the diff cover? I'm trying to think of where one is... seems like it would be right where the housing starts into the axle tube. Thanks.

You got it, but you'll have to pull the axleshafts and maybe carrier to change the inner seals

Yes, it's a real pita. You'll have to pull the shafts and the carrier to replace them. Fwiw, there are a few places making outer axle tube seals for d44's, you might try that.

I had pulled the long shaft, as mentioned in my first post, but was unaware that I'd have to pull the carrier.. that sucks. Anybody know who makes the outer axle seals? That would be a lot of help.
