Leaking fuel cell fittings...

I have a new plastic cell that was a major PITA to install and now the in/out fittings in the sump area are leaking. I don't have time to return it. Anyone else ever had to deal with this?

normal problem, i usally have to remove the cap ring assy. so that i can get my arm into them and tighten the fittings.
