Leaky Clutch

For a while, every few weeks my clutch would start acting up and i would find that my clutch reservior was close, if not, bone dry. I was messing around with the jeep on wednesday (95 yj, 6-cyc, ax-15) and discovered the leak was a little rubber seal where my clutch pedal assembly goes through the firewall. Everytime I push the clutch it leaks probably around 1/2 - 3/4 a mL. Not enough to notice but with all the pushing of the clutch its enough to drain my fluid after a while. Anyone know where I can get this seal? or if there is an easier fix?

Replace the clutch master cyl, not worth tryin gto rebuild it, and the rebuild, if even possible to obtain parts, generally won't last long.

Whole rebuild just for a rubber seal? maybe seal is a bad word, it looks like this...kinda

and goes around the rod thingy from the back of the clutch pedal into the fire-wall, would I have to rebuild just to fix that?

That is just a dust boot, the actual leak is inside the cyl. and is seeping past the boot. the part you want is actually a cup, and is behind a metal puck inside that the "rod thingy" pushes against.

You can do what you want, I'm speaking from experiance, not that that seems to mean anything anymore.

I am pretty sure that you cannot replaced just the Master. I icome with the clutch kit. the slave and master I think are a sealed unit. I had this problem on my 89 Comanche and i had to do a complete clutch job becuse that was the only way i could get the parts.
