Hey guys, just found out after having bags packed sitting and waiting that I am FINALLY getting out of this place!!

This was my 3rd tour out here (in the past 3 years lol) and my LAST! I have been in the Air Force for 5 years as a F-15 fighter jet Crew Chief and have loved the JOB but have been done with the military for awhile now. This was supposedly suppose to be another 5 month deployment but as I was on my honeymoon supervision wanted to call and let me know we were movin to a 6 month and now after 200 days going to a 7 month deployment lol! Yeah I know not as bad as the army guys coming for a year but still sucks!lol!

Anyways I am based at Goldsboro but originally from Asheboro and trust me I cant wait to get home and wheel with you guys! I have met alot and cant wait to put more names with faces! The wifey already knows after my first week or so home I gonna be wheeling as much as I can lol! See you guys on the trails!!!!

This is a burner run, we do these when we put new motors in. We hook the jet to the ground and give it full throttle to make sure all the OPS checks are good. Your suppose to only do one motor at a time BUT out here in the desert we like to make loud noises! Lets just say this is the loudest sound you will probably EVER hear lol! It will rattle your head set off your head!

get back and you have a day or two here...give me and Joe a holler and we'll go out and eat with ya.

That second pic was like a punch in the gut! I'm sitting here drinking coffee and all of a sudden I smelled diesel, aircraft, sweat and was 20 again! I was ready for it to be over too but thanks for the memory :driver:

Thanks for your service. Like you I couldn't wait for it to be over. I did my 20 and now I still work with Marines everyday. Almost like being in but not quite. I see all these guys doing stuff I used to love doin and now I miss it. Kind of makes me want to go to Afghanistan as a Civillian. Be safe on the trip home
