LED brake lights

On my first gen yota truck, the tail lights and brake lights are seperate. The brake lights are mounted on the flat bed, and are mounted similar to Wranglers. They only come on for braking, and have just one bulb. All the LED lights I find require cutting into the body for mounting. Have any of you seen some LEDs that I can use in place of my brake lights? Another question, will they (LEDs) work in place of the regular bulbs, or is there some type of regulator I'll need? I'm new to LEDs, and I'll get some pics of what I'm talking about soon. thanks

For a brake lite, LED's will work just like the bulb they replace, for turn signals, they can cause issues, but none that aren't resolved by putting in a different flasher, or a resistor inline to create the desired load on the circuit.

You can get LED light that mount like the Wranglers at most trailer supply stores.
This is where I got my lights from http://vehiclelight.com/ they have alot to choose from.
For the flasher install an electronic flasher and they should flash properly, I got mine from the Carquest store we deal with at work I can post the part number of it tomorrow as I have the tag in my tool box.
They are flush mounts and are mounted in my taillight housings.

Are you trying to have turn/stop/running light all in one?

if so, you need to go to your favorite trailer supply place, and get a converter. It will convert from seperate stop / turn / running lights to all in one (think 4 wire trailer wiring)

na...all i need is a single LED light that lights up when the brakes are applied, and they need to be able to be bolted or screwed on outside of the body, no cutting holes for them to mount flush. There are seperate lights for taillamps/turning'backup. Don't ask, I bought it that way.
thanks for the help.

Vehicle light has the ones that bolt on too. You can also check auto parts stores and Tractor Supply and Northern Tool usually have LEDs too.

No problem I went through a set of stock ones just about every time I wheeled it since installing the steel housings and LED light have not broke a single light.
