Going to be heading down there Monday. Anyone from around there? Looking for a hotel for Monday night, good place to grab some food, any sites to check out?

Leland doesn't have much although it has grown a ton in recent years. Stay in Wilmington. Downtown has some good food and is close to Leland

What kind of food you want? Bar stuff, seafood, etc?

Not so much a bar. Just somewhere good, local. I've heard PT's Grille is a good place to go for a good burger. I'm staying in Leland for sure, don't want to risk being late for anything with that bridge.

Bridge is no big deal. Drive across the river for food.

Im actually interested in staying within the Leland community to get a feel for it. Im heading down for a job interview and would like to know a little more about the locals. Exploration of Wilmington can come later IF I get this job.

I work in leland sometimes, PT's is good there's not much on the menu but its good. You write down your own order on a ticket and turn it in. We stay at a motel just down the street (walking distance) from there that is really nice. Its a comfort suites, rated one of the best in the area. You want be disappointed with it.

PT's is a good place to eat. If you want a good dinner go just over the river and go somewhere downtown Wilmington, I really like Elijah's. Flaming Amy's in Wilmington is also great food and unique. The Leland area has been growing like crazy, still a lot of people that work around there live in Wilmington, but you can also even go more south and still be close to Leland. There is some crappy parts of LA (most of Wilmington will call Leland LA) still, it used to all suck 10 years ago.
