I have a 95 grand Cherokee that has 31X10.50 tires on it. They rub some on the fenders. Not a lot, but enough to scar the tires.
This will not be a trail Jeep. I won't be a DD. It will be mainly to go places like snow wheeling, take me to work in the snow, take the dogs for a ride. Go to the Flea market.
a sometimes driver I guess you'd say.
So
I am thinking some 2" spacers for the springs, to lift it just enough to clear the tires.
From what I have been told, no extension for the drive shafts, shocks will be needed.
Any other experiences?

Is it stock now with 31s? Usually 30s are the biggest tire size a ZJ can go without a lift.

Regardless, pound the pinch seams with a BFH, and trim the front bumper cover. With a 2" spacer on a mostly street rig that will see little to no trail use, you will be fine. May want to get some longer shocks to go with it, but other than that you should be fine.

I can do a 3-4" lift for you with disconnects. cheap cheap. my 31s only run the control arms

Well....
First in order to solicit fourwheeling related business, you need a vendors diamond.
2nd, the cost of fuel alone to Beaufort NC would be more than what I have in the Jeep

and lastly I only asked about the spacers

by cheap i ment free i have another kit here that im not using and family xj your right but to keep the soft ride most ppl use thunderbird front coils. ive seen ppl use explorer lift springs in the front and love it.
