hello Im new to the site and ive got a 1993 nissan pathfinder , ive heard u can use jgc springs on the rear for around 3 inchs of lift is and r there any other options other then this one spring

There are plenty of things you can do with one of those. Many different springs work depending on what lift you want. People have done long arm conversions on the rear, you can lift the IFS or SAS it pretty easily. Join up on NOAS www.noas4x4club.com for local-ish people with Nissans. For parts you can check AC (www.4x4parts.com), Calmini (www.purenissan.com), Rugged Rocks (www.ruggedrocksoffroad.com) among others.

I realize that this is a year old, but I do not understand how the calmini lift works. They list the same torsion bars in the lift kit seperately and say that they will replace your stock bars and that are sagging. Is the lift obtained by reclocking the torsion bars and using their upper control arms to be able to correct the alignment? We put the 33s off of my Blazer on the Pathfinder to see what was up and stock it will clear untill you turn which I know some of you are saying DUH. But if I can get by with stock torsion bars which were new before we bought it along with new upper ball joints and spacers with the Calmini upper control arms and JGC springs on the rear and maybe 3" body lift that would be a hell of a lot cheaper then the $1000 lift kit!! Has anyone got any experience with this?

the calmini torsion bars are something like 30% stiffer than stock. over time stock torsion bars will start to sag and even more so once you crank them up to achieve lift with the new upper arms. when i was still IFS i ran the stock torsion bars with upper control arms and had no issues. actually it rode very well and wasn't too harsh. however, if and when you add a steel front bumper, winch, etc....you will likely need some stronger torsion bars.

regarding the body lift...i had a 3" body lift and the suspension lift. i was running 33s at the time and had installed a rear locker and the truck did great. had nice road manners and would go just about anywhere i wanted to take it. with the body lift...just go back from time to time and torque the bolts. especially right after its installed. it'll keep things right and reduce any squeaking, etc. i know most folks don't like body lifts, but i have never had an issue with mine in the 8 years its been installed.

hope that helped. later.
