hey guys im new here and new to 4x4 but i have 2 trucks one was easy to buy a lift for and put on but my 1981 chevy luv i cant find any one that canmake a lift for it with out wanting a arm and leg. so my quetion is who can fab up a lift for it cheap ?

I think you may be stuck with just a body lift for the luv. I guess you looked for nissan lifts ( i think that is the original make, or izuzu) But unless you swap out the IFS for a straight front axle you will be limited.

Suspension is not something you can realy fab for cheap, I'd be a little weary about anyone who says they will.

Is the luv IFS?
I thought they were straight axle?

If its straight axle/leaf sprung, you could get a set of springs made on the cheap.
Try Salem Spring in Charlotte.

If its IFS, then Id bet the cheapest way would be to do a SAS swap and then see above.

1 more idea, try calling a few of the bigger lift companies (superlift, rancho, etc.) Ideally you are looking for a company that was around when your truck was new. Often times they will have many applications that dont make the monthly Peterson's ad simply due to space limitations and page costs.

I TIRED all lift companys no one i guess i need to go ahead and swap out axles . didnt want to cause i drive the little truck alot.any one tell me someone that can be trusted to do it ?
