Bought a 78 Chevy K10 SWB a couple weeks ago. Wanting to lift it and play around in some mud around the house. About how much can I lift it and not run into needing alot of extra parts? Can I go with a 6" suspension lift and use the stock driveshafts? Or should I just stick with a 4" suspension lift and just trim the fenders for the extra clearance? I'd like to run at least 35" tires or so. I know I'll need new shocks, longer brake lines and a new steering arm. Anything else I'll need or is recommended? Thanks.

At the end of the month I should have a steering arm, 4in. lift front springs, and maybe an ORD shackle flip for sale.

Will I need to do a transfer case drop or will the driveline angles be ok? Can I clear 35's with a 4" and some mild trimming? Or should I just go 6"?

i have a 78 chevy with a 4 in lift i have 35 x 14.50 boggers and i have stock driceshaft and transfer case location did have to trim fenders on front a lil bit

Thanks for the info 01ram. I've seen several 4" lifts for sale used, so thats probably what I'll go with. Not wanting to spend alot of money on the truck, just bought it to have some fun with.
