Liners. spray in, roll in, rattlecan; what do you think?

I used herculiner in my k5. It took about a gallon plus a quart to do the whole thing. It cost somewhere around $200. I havent been driving it since I have put it in but we put some in a ranger and is looking pretty crappy after about 5 years of daily use of the bed

I did the Herculiner on the rocker panels and bumpers of my yota and they held up great. I never got around to doing the bed but that stuff is strong

i used the duplicolor on in my tj and i hate it. it looks bad and it dont hold up for shit any bump and theres a scratch ive had mine in my jeep less than a year but the spary in version in the rattle can i like you can get any texture you want depending on the distance sprayed but i put it on my sliders just now and i really like the way it looks but only time will tell on the durbility if you do get any roll on get the herculiner dont go cheap with the duplicolor

I have used the raptor brand spray on kit that NAPA sells for about $100 with the gun in a couple of truck beds and on the flares, bumpers, and lower trim on my old ZJ. It sprayed on well, and appears to be holding up well. About to do my '78 ford, my dads Ranger, my brothers Tundra, and the new flares for my nephews XJ in it. They also carry a kit that can be color matched for the same price.

L-Kote spray in...

Getting ready to try a product called L-Kote. It is a spray on liner, I saw this at a Jeep show in Maryland. My father-in-law coated the inside of his YJ about 4 years and the stuff has held up great. If I get a good weather weekend, and I have the right size tip I am going to spray the inside of mine. I will update when I get done.:bounce2:

I did herculiner in my old YJ and the key is prep work. I forget their name but I think a person here bought it, so they could tell you how it's holding up....if I could remember who.

The only "bad place" was under the drivers heel where it wore off but I think if I had roughed that area up better it would have done better.

You should plan on at least 2 days for herculiner. One day of prep one day of application, then it needs a few hours to dry.

Screw that green pad they give you in the kit, get real sand paper, a rough grit. I used xylene in between sanding and found using a brush and dabbing the stuff on to work best, or to roll it on with a roller then dab more on that to get a really thick textured coat.

i am fixing to do the inside of my TJ tub next weekend with herculiner, how many quarts/cans/buckets do i need to do a quality job for the full tub? ^ says $100 so im guessing one bucket since they are like $95 at the local store???

Come on, you guys are slipping...10 replies and not once was the word hoodus (or hootus) used....I am ashamed
