i have 4 load range D BFG a/t's i was thinking about using on the back of a F-350 steel dump bed dually. it wont be pulling more than 2 jeeps on a gooseneck or a load of dirt/rocks in the bed. should i use the d's or should i get some e's?

thanx

There is a load index number on the tire. Most LT/Truck tires have a dual rating for SRW/DRW use.. Should be in the 119/120 range.. and as rockmofia said are probably close is not the same reguardless of the labeled load rating..

I have 2 sets of tires from 2 different manufactures. 1 is a LOAD D the other is LOAD E, both are 119/120 and BOTH have the same number of actual plys and construction (not ply rating) and same exact # rating at X PSI..

Just make sure the tire meets your use of the truck.. Reminds me of everytime i see P tires on a pickup and gramps driving... :) im sure it rides nice...

I have an F350 dually, had it for 11 years now and always used E's on it.

thanx for the help

On my 2500 cummins I never had a problem with D's, other than ride was just not as stable and wore a little faster.

the bfg's are 120/116 so what do you think? says they will hold 3042lbs each.

My brothers been running them on his 2500HD without any problems. Decent on the road (quiet) and worth the extra money when stuck in a muddy field after 4 days of rain, drug my trailer & jeep out like if wasn't there... others were NOT so lucky!
