Everytime I ride, my suspension flexes so much that the jam nuts on control arms work their way loose. I'm thinking about putting a drop or two of Loc-Tite on the threads. Which Loc-Tite should I use? Or is there a better way to make the jam nuts stay put?

Who makes the control arms? Sounds like a design issue that I would take up with the manufacturer. But if no resolution from them I don't see an issue using lock-tite I would recommend blue since it is removable.

Assuming your talking about a 4 link or something similar, it sounds like you don't have enough joint rotation to account for the excessive droop in your link setup. Your not going to solve that problem with locktite....

If that is the case you could use limit straps, or maybe get hi- misalignment spacers if you dont already have them.

control arms made by me and Chuckman with 2.5" Creeper joints with 1.25" stud. 4 link in the rear, radius arms up front. What's the best way to determine how long to allow the suspension to droop with limit straps?

Are you talking about a solid axle front or ifs. Im lost on what exactly you are driving and which joints are coming loose?

Im walking into work, ill come back to this later

2000 TJ trail rig with hi pinion Dana 44 front and Ford 9" rear. Joints on rear control arms come loose.

Lol dont do that

Woah yeah OK I was thinking IFS, the jam nuts used on the ends of the control arm crossbars. Typically are staked.

Obviously I haven't seen it or whatever but it definably sounds like the joints don't have enough throw for the amount of articulation you are putting out. Articulation is over rated anyway.

Hell, if you can't figure it out, just call me sometime when you've got some time to mess with it....

Thanks guys, I think I am going to start planning some limiting straps. If you have pics of how you put limiting straps on your axles, please post them.
