JD McDuffie was killed at Watkins Glen back in 1991. His wife passed away last year. Estate auction coming up on July 30 in Sanford area. Supposed to be lots of memorobilia.






BTW, City of Sanford just started a mural dedicated to JD. There is already one for Herb Thomas (he lived right up the street from us when I was growing up).

JD McDuffie ..... the man who made everyone wonder what the heck a "Rumple Furniture" was !
These guys are my heroes though .... doing what they want, how they want, and making a living doing it.
 
McDuffie once wrecked a car during qualifying and tore the driver door skin off and ripped the driver door bar tube and a NOS bottle rolled across the track...
