Local shop? Tranny shop? Dealer? where to get work done?

Have been having issues with my 1998 K1500 stupid internal slave is leaking. 160k on truck so getting all wear items replaced while tranny is out. Have been getting quotes for $1000 to $1350 from local shit hole stops to the dealer. The quotes that were $1000 are questionable and think final price would be higher with that being there plan to get you in there. Anyway where should I take the truck?

Only reason i am asking if because I am considering taking it to the dealer since prices are similar.

most all shops will bleed you dry, but the dealer is most likely to do it more than others

the dealer uses what we'll call an "introductory price".
