Can anyone recommend a local guy that can rebuild brake boosters?

I have a guy in OR who comes highly recommended, but he's in OR.

I might know someone.

What is the original application?
You must have considered a reman on exchange and have a reason not to?

Yeah, because I've been through at least 6 of them so far (probably more like 8, but I've lost count).

The application was 1990 F350 w/gas motor.

Finding one that worked straight out of the box was pretty tough. Finding one that works when it's 20F is damn-near impossible.

I've gotta take a look at another potential option. Gotta make sure that I'm going to stick with this particular booster. Then see about getting it rebuilt by somebody that uses quality parts and knows WTF they're doing.

A-1 Cardone and their lifetime warranty can go to hell.

It makes 22" at idle. Crappy parts house rebuilds is the problem, that's all.

Hydroboost isn't an option, IMHO. A quality hydroboost unit will run twice as much as this other guy costs to hand-build vac boosters. Plus, I don't think I'll get enough volume through one pump to run it. No sense in running two pumps just to get hydroboost. I'd sooner go full manual and deal with everything that entails.

But thanks for the suggestions.
