I've got a line on a new Lock Right to go in the rear 14 bolt SF axle of my '83 Suburban with 35" tires. I mostly drive it on the street but do occassionly hit the offroad. Any concerns with the durability of this in combination with the 35 inchers? No other axle mods are there. I've read about the noises it can make in turns and can be ok with that. Thoughts?

I imagine its probably an auto and very long wheelbase. I say run it you probably won't even notice it on the street. In our auto explorer it's very smooth on pavement. My short manual trans fj40 is another story though....

That's pretty much a best case scenario for a lunchbox locker...really long wheelbase and automatic transmission. I don't think you'll have any problems with it at all once you get used to driving with a locker in the rear

No worries with breaking a Lock Right. I've seen guys break Detroits (in a front axle) and swap to a Lock Right and never have any problems. I have a Detroit rear and a Lock Right up front in my K30 and never really notice the rear locker until the going gets tough. Mine has been through several tractor pulls and hasn't winced a bit.
