All jokes aside a friend of mine shared this on FB tonight.It is about an incident his friends daughter was almost involved in last night.

Last night I received a phone call from my daughter, she stated that a friend's cell phone was stolen from work (McDonalds in Gray, TN). The girl was able to locate her phone using the "Find my iPhone" app. My daughter was calling me to get my permission for her to go with her friend to pick up the phone which seemed to have been tossed out the window of a car alongside the interstate (I-26). I told her absolutely not, I advised her that the interstate is a very dangerous place to be at night due to speeding cars, and the other possibility was that it could be a trap. Hanna said they had called the police and would wait for the police to arrive then she would call me back.

A few minutes later I received another call from my daughter saying that the police had come and that in the mean time, the person who had taken the phone finally answered the phone. The lady that answered told them that her child had stolen the phone out of the bathroom and that she didn't realize it. She also stated that her car had broken down on the interstate, she asked the girl if she could come pick up her phone since she couldn't bring it back to her. Fortunately the girls told the police officer and he went out to meet the person with the phone... He arrived back at McDonalds a short time later with the lady that had the phone.

The lady insisted that her child had stolen the phone and that she was trying to return it... Upon reviewing the security footage at McDonalds, it was determined that the woman was lying about there being a child involved. She was also seen hiding gas cans around McDonalds (unsure what was going on with that). Thankfully my daughter had the awareness that she needed to call me before just randomly taking off to find the phone. Had she not called me, last night could have been a LOT worse...

The police officer gained permission to prosecute the woman on theft charges and issued her a summons to appear in court. I'm confident that had my daughter not called me, that woman would have attempted to abduct the girls. Sex Trafficking in our area is on the rise, please be careful with your children!!! You never know how something seemingly harmless could turn out so bad...

UPDATE!!!

I was just told that the woman from last night was arrested and put into jail, it was discovered she was a part of a sex trafficking ring.



Warn your girls if you haven't already,if you have,remind them.The only thing that could be worse than burying one is knowing this could be what happened to your missing daughter.
 
Reading things like this gets my blood boiling...thanks for sharing. I've got a while til my daughter will be giving me even more gray hair, but I'm definitely keeping things like this in mind...all the while stocking up on an arsenal.
 
Damn, having two little ones my self I hate hearing stuff like this. Pisses me off to no end. I would also recommend to everyone to do a quick background check of all family and friends acquaintances because you never know what you might find. I did this when my wife, kids, and I moved back to my dads old place to help him keep everything up. I found out one of his buddies that hung out around there was convicted and served 20yrs for raping his 3yr old niece. Needless to say a 16oz hammer can really mess ones hands up, but it got my point across real clearly to everyone around us. I still don't feel like that was justice enough, my vote is to put the hanging poles back up at the court house and hang'em high.
 
Hell its not just kids. Last weekend a man tried to take a women in her mid 30s from the local Walmart with her husband standing there. He didn’t stop trying until he pulled his gun.

@1-tonmudder thanks for sharing and props to you for raising a daughter to be aware enough and trusting of you to call you first. A lot of teens these days dont have the respect to check with parents before doing something potentially dangerous or foolish. My kids are still several years from this type of situation but it's the kind of thing I hafta keep in mind for the future. A lot of crazy, stupid, worthless people out there that want to do damaging things to innocent people.

See that's another thing.Jake has a girl-friend that he runs around with (don't understand their relationship) and she's cute,19,5 foot tall and about 100 pounds.Whats gonna happen to jake if someone tries to take her when their out together??? I'm sure he'd try to stop it and would be disappointed if he didn't but I don't want him hurt either.
 
Whenever I'm in Vegas, the amount of highway billboards for reporting human trafficking (reporting hotlines), and billboards about shelters for victims of human trafficking/exploitation is slightly unnerving.

Banner Elk Man Pleads Guilty to Sex Crimes with a Minor

This guy was my best friend growing up. From 2nd grade until senior year of High School when he dropped out. He grew up pretty poor down the street from me, his house didn't have indoor plumbing. But he was the apple of his families eye and they spoiled him. We were stupid close. Used to cut sticks and ride bikes towards each other like Knights jousting trying to knock each other off. We were idiots like that. His mom always had orange and vanilla sherbet ice cream for us. Like always, we ate that crap by the gallon.

I bumped into him a couple times in person since HS, but hadn't seen him in ten years. But did see him on Facebook from time to time, I knew he had a few kids from a few different women. Never seemed to be able to make the right choices, always bouncing around jobs and between women and losing custody.

Then this happened came out last year.

From what I gathered later he was molesting her from the time she was 6 to 9 while he was dating her mom.

We live in a fallen world. It may be safer than a third world country, but there's still evil all around us.

All you can do is your best to do the right thing, protect the ones you love, and carry a gun.

Glad that girl was safe and they caught the crazy lady. Time to squeeze her for everything she knows.

You see things shared on FB every day but don't know what's true or who's just being overly paranoid, then it happens to someone you know...

I have a 3 yr old daughter. I'm hopefully a long way away from having to deal with it, but I'm already thinking about how I won't always be there and there's no way to completely protect them. I feel like all we can do is prepare them the best we can and hope they remember their training if the time comes.

We started my little girl in karate a couple months ago. She's enjoying it, not sure she'll stick with it, but I hope it at least teaches her to be aware of her surroundings and have an out.

All points and warnings are true, but to my cynical ass it reads like a typical facebook reshare where no one knows the person firsthand. I don't understand the point, but I see these pretty regularly. I even searched it on facebook, and found about 100 posts or reshares of it, but none were the original.

Im a skeptic about most everything as well and it very well could be but I got the text I quoted right off the guys fb page and in the comments friends of his called the girls by name,so who knows.
 
I’d like to get a government contract and put together a team of guys to do nothing but target sex trafficking assholes. In a perfect world the government would give me the green light to complete the mission by all means necessary with a blank check. No questions asked when it came to intel gathering methods and enemy casualties. No better feeling than blowing the front door two rooms deep in the middle of the night and “rounding” these assholes up. All the ones that squirt out the back get dealt with as aggressors. They were running towards me and I feared for my safety. If there’s any left breathing, their final breaths will be painful as I gather more intel for the next target. Do this all around the country nightly with multiple teams. It would be mandatory for all the 3 letter agencies to give me all intel that pertains to my trafficking mission. I’d take death photos of all the shot up bastards and post them on social media so everyone in the business can see what’s in their future. I’d rob them as well in order to supplement my mission. I could go on and on. Basically fawk these people.

Wow! That is crazy. I don't carry a gun, but if a man tries to take my wife like that, he is going to be eating his meals through a straw for the next 6 months or possibly the rest of his life. I'm going to put my size 13 boot into his jaw over and over until someone stops me.
