I've got a few questions on Lockers for a 89 toyota. I've been looking and several brands. My question is the Lockrite. I know its prob a cheap route but Air lockers and Electric are expensive especially when I have to regear as well. Is the lockrite strong in other words will they hold up to 35's. I'm going to have to do a SAS conversion in the future so I need to be tight with the money. Any suggestion? Would it be better to wait and get an Electric or Air locker?
I've found a 97 toyota axle with a locker for about $450.00 so I think I'm going that route. I know it will cost more to regear it but I have to do that already. Does this sound like a good Idea or is there some thing costly I don't know about?
