84 ford f150 4x4. i planning on changing my gear ratio. seams like go time to add lockers. Right now both are open. puting one in rear is a must. front one is up in the air. how bad does a locker effect the driveing with most? I'm also thinking of a oxs lockers so i can engange when i need it. oxs is new to me. any know any thing about oxs lockers

What do you plan on using it for? I will go ahead and say to lock it front and rear if you can afford it, unless you want to do a lot of driving on snow covered roads (but this is NC we are talking about...)

daily driver 60 percent/ offroad 40 percent. offroad would be mudd, hills logging roads. I'm not in to rock climbing sounds fun but just not for me. no pun intended.

get a spool for the rear have had them in many fords and can really tell on the road until you make sharp turns in parking lots and they are much cheeper and could just weld the front

i have a 85-f150 with a witha 9in in the rear with a spool and welded in the front i just got a spartan locker for the front cant wait to get it in running 35tsl some times when wheeling it gets a little hard to turn ,i live in lenoir also we need to go wheeling sometime.

I just put a Spartan in my XJ and welded the rear. The Spartan works great, can't realy feel it on the highway but the welded rear is rough in parkinglots.
