After having it only 4 years , I'm finally getting around to installing my LockRight into the IFS front. I'm swapping up to diffs already setup for 529s, so figured this was a convenient time.
Now, after pulling the ring and carrier assembly out, it looks like the ring has to actually be removed from the carrier casing in order to get to get the center pin out and corresponding spider gears. Gear is thick and in the way.
Is that right? I though the "magic" of these lockers was in not having to disturb the ring itself.
Anybody know of a good "how to" writeup on this specific install? The Richmond instructiosn are pretty generic.
